A qualified installer sets up a metered low-voltage connection between the nearby solar provider's system and your home. Energy is delivered over that connection and measured by your consumer unit, so you only pay for what you actually use. Because this depends on distance and site layout, we assess your location before confirming a connection.

It depends on the solar provider's setup. Systems with battery storage can supply beyond daylight hours; solar-only systems mainly share while generating. We match consumers to sources that suit their needs, and your dashboard shows live availability from your connected solar provider.

You add credit to your NeighbourWatt wallet in the app using the available payment options. Your balance then draws down as you use energy at ₦200/kWh, and you can top up any time, in any amount.

Supply reduces or pauses automatically and you're notified before it does. Top up anytime and power resumes instantly. If access ends while you still have credit, the remaining value is kept for future use.

Solar output varies, so when available surplus is low the system shares what there is within each consumer's allocated limit and notifies you before supply reduces. Power may be limited or paused until generation recovers or more surplus becomes available. Your dashboard always shows live availability.
